Community Farming

ANKURI is looking to expand its community outreach by addressing the needs of local farmers including farming technique education, soil health, disaster risk prevention and small-scale organic farming, as well as health and hygiene education. ANKURI is creating a farm specifically for demonstration and showcasing farming as a means of income generation. Our goal is to establish a network of permaculture systems in the communities we work with in order to ensure food security while preserving traditional farming techniques and the agricultural heritage of Uttarakhand.
